Hucklebery Forest Preschool started operating in 2009. Most of our teachers and management have been educating Seattle's preschoolers many years prior at several of Seattle's oldest preschools. They are bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and philosophies from multiple institutions and blanding it into one fine preschool. Our experienced leadershir really understands what does work and how to implement the philosophy. (Our director and lead teachers have 20 years of experience each while preschool teacher experience average for the US is shorter than four years)

In order for great teachers to create great learning environment and loving atmosphere it is extremely important to have a great facility. After over one year of searching for that "perfect" building we were extremely fortunate to have found one. Our vast space allows us to have separate classrooms while at the same time we can provide huge common area to conduct group meals prepared in our large kitchen. We have a large stage for our theatre and dance classes and other open areas allowing us to have rotating stations for various classes and activities. We are also very fortunate to be located very close to the wonderful University Playground which we utilize almost every single day. We also have our large indoor space where children have freedom to move around and play during recess.

We believe that this blend of experience, knowledge, energy and enthusiasm of our teachers and our exceptionally suitable space and location together produce one of Seattle's best preschools.
